Torture Of A Scorpian
Revelations 9:13-19 is brought to the forefront with this painting.
Here, the 6th angel has already sounded his trumpet. The four angels that were bound, and kept in the river Euphrates, being prepared for this day of judgment are released to wreak havoc on mankind. Vs 16 "The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million."
"I heard their number." Vs. 17 "The horses and riders I saw in my vision looked like this: Their breastplates were firey red, dark blue, and yellow as sulpher. The heads of the horses resembled lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulpher."
Revelations 9 Verses 13-17 gives a full explaination of this visionary image.

The Day Of Victory
In this painting the "Day Of The Lord" is brought out. This prophecey can be read about in several locations throughout the Old and New testaments.
For example the prophecy of the "Day Of The Lord" is foretold in the book of Isaiah chapter sixty three, also in the book of Jude verses 14-15. This painting however, is the visual interpretation of the same prophecey found in the book of Revelations.
Revelations 19:11-21
"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes like a flame of fire, and on His head many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.
He clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word Of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.."
The rest of this prophecy can be read in the aforementioned verses in the book of Revelations.
